A Chef’s tasting journey: Exploring our Omakase experience

What Is Omakase?

If you’re new to Japanese cuisine, you might be wondering what exactly “Omakase” means. Directly translated, Omakase means “I’ll leave it up to you,” which perfectly captures the essence of this dining style. In an Omakase meal, guests entrust the chef to select and prepare a series of dishes right in front of them, showcasing the chef's skills, creativity, and the freshest ingredients available that day. This intimate and personalised experience is designed to be a culinary journey, allowing diners to savour a variety of flavours and textures crafted with precision.

What to Expect During Your Omakase Experience

When dining at our Omakase restaurant, you can expect a unique experience that changes daily based on the freshest ingredients and the season. Our menu features a variety of courses that are carefully curated to highlight the best flavours of each ingredient.

We offer three different seating options to cater to different tastes and preferences:

  1. Tasting: This option is available during lunch from Wednesday to Saturday and includes 17 courses that offer a delightful introduction to the Omakase experience.

  2. Signature: For those looking for a more extensive experience, our Signature Omakase features over 20 courses.

  3. Prestige: This is our most luxurious offering, featuring over 20 courses that include ultra-premium ingredients like truffle, caviar, and uni, along with additional exclusive dishes.

The Omakase Journey: Course by Course

Your Omakase experience begins with Otsumami, small appetisers that excite the palate and set the stage for the meal. This is followed by the sushi course, with 7-9 pieces of nigiri made from the freshest seasonal fish, offering a new experience with each visit.

A hot dish is served between sushi courses to cleanse the palate, leading into a light soup that provides a warm transition before the final courses.

For those enjoying the Signature or Prestige Omakase, the meal includes a Toro Taku handroll with the option to add caviar in the Prestige menu.

The journey concludes with desserts that provide a sweet ending, leaving a memorable taste to cherish.
