PLANQUE X TAKU

Join us on Tuesday 20th August for our collaboration four hands dinner with Planque. For those of you who were lucky enough to secure a seat at our previous collaboration with Planque last year, you will know that the dishes which Chef Long Ng and Chef Sebastian Myers came up with and served with simply phenomenal. 

Planque is a renowned wine restaurant serving Moden British cuisine and ranked as No. 53 out of 100 of the U.K’s Top 100 National Restaurant Awards. Chef Sebastian Myers is an extremely talented chef who is able to draw out the intricate flavours of each ingredient he uses to serve a new menu every day. With Chef Long, both of them will be serving a unique menu consisting of a fusion between Modern British and Japanese cuisine in a true Omakase style.

The price of 300 GBP includes both 17 courses and an alcohol pairing of 6 glasses consisting of both wine and sake by Japanese producers excluding a discretionary service charge of 15%.

Egon Müller AT TAKU

We are extremely excited to announce an exclusive dinner for one night only with the legendary winemaker Egon Müller. Egon is known for producing the best rieslings in the whole world and it is so rare for him to join an event in person. On 24 July, you will be able to sit down with Egon and experience a unique omakase personalised for the amazing wines you will be tasting on the night. Chef Long will be creating dishes which are bolder and richer to pair with the flavors of the wines - you can expect dishes such as; Abalone Risotto with Australian Winter Black Truffle, Courgette flower stuffed with scallop and truffle and a special dessert made with Egon’s honey harvested from his vineyards.

You will also be able to taste Egon’s Whiskey, limited to 300 bottles in the world and aged in Egon’s barrels with TBA

The price of this event includes both the Omakase and the Wine Pairings

On 21st June, we are honoured to be hosting an exclusive dinner with IWA Sake, where, Richard Geoffroy (founder and maker of IWA Sake, Chef de Cave of Dom Perignon for 28 years) will be presenting some amazing and unique vintages over 2 seatings on the night. The night will feature a special Omakase menu to pair with the different assemblages of IWA which will be served. Guests can expect a welcoming champagne followed by:

Culinary powerhouses and Michelin-starred, Taku and Osip are thrilled to announce their collaboration at Taku Mayfair on July 19th and 20th for 5:30PM and 8:30PM sittings. This partnership brings together the restaurants, in a fusion of culinary artistry and quality ingredients for an unparalleled experience that blends the traditions of Japanese omakase at Taku with the contemporary flavours and ingredients of Osip.

The coming together of Taku and Osip will see a 22-course set menu offering star dishes from both restaurants alongside collaborative dishes, paying homage to the precision of both Japanese and British cuisine. The seasonal dishes are set to include:

Chilled tomato tea with fig leaf oil

Cream of courgette with gooseberry

Fennel pollen and spider crab

Tempura courgette flower with spider crab emulsion and calendula

Squid stuffed with a truffle and lardo sausage, squid ink sauce and shaved truffles

Lobster knuckle, cauliflower and sudachi jelly

Sushi and Temaki

The collaborative menu harmonises the traditions of Japanese omakase at Taku with the contemporary flavours and ingredients grown by the Osip team, for London’s most discerning palates.
